P.S.H.E.

Rationale - 

JIGSAW is the scheme we use for PSHE. The new RSE and relationship curriculum which suits the sensitivity for our cohort of children. The overview helps us see the progression from foundation to year 6. 

JIGSAW supports and guides teachers through the RSE units and it clearly explains the context in which sensitive topics will be taught in unbiased ways.

The school aims to use JIGSAW scheme of work to prepare the children holistically within a globalise context for the future.

PSHE in SEN education is vital to help children prepare for life and understand their ever changing feelings and emotions. Zones of Regulations are used regularly across the Opal centre. They offer children a way of identifying and expressing how they are feeling. Like in mainstream, PSHE in SEN education helps answer questions children have about themselves.
